A Message from GSBA's President and Chief Executive Officer

Welcome to the website of the Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA). I welcome you to browse our site and find ways that you can connect to our wonderful organization. GSBA members are business and professional leaders who have a deep sense of community and strive hard to achieve equality for all while shaping a business community reflective of our rich diversity.

GSBA sponsors many monthly programs, including a monthly business luncheon, after-hours Prime Time, Connecting Women and New Members Meet and Greet. All our programming provides opportunities for our membership and guests to connect with other LGBT and Allied business and professional leaders from our community. While visiting our site, I invite you to browse through our outstanding online 2010-2011 GSBA Guide and Directory. This Guide is our community’s number one business directory proudly serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied community since 1981.

By selecting a business or service provider in this directory you are making a wise consumer decision. The businesses in this directory are known for their integrity, outstanding quality of their service or product and for having a commitment to giving back to community through their volunteerism and philanthropy.

In addition, when you do business locally, you make an investment in the health of your own community. How empowering in this time of huge conglomerates to know that when you spend your hard earned dollars at a local GSBA business, whether small or one of our corporate members, part of the money you spend is reinvested in your own community. It will be reinvested because the business owner, service provider and employee lives, works, shops and does business in many of the same places as you. And, more specifically, within GSBA, our members have a commitment to refer, shop and do business with each other. So, the buying power of your dollar grows as that same dollar is circulated throughout a community.

Whether a business owner, employee, professional service provider, public sector employee or retired from work, GSBA welcomes you. We invite you to benefit from shopping at our member businesses and we welcome your involvement in our wonderful organization. If you wish to become part of a community of outstanding, successful, philanthropic, professional leaders in our community check us out or give me a call at (206) 363-9188 and find out how to get involved.

For Equality and Success in Business and In Our Community.

Louise Chernin,
GSBA President and Chief Executive Officer
