A Message from GSBA's Board President

Welcome to the Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA). We are the largest LGBT chamber of commerce in the United States with 1,000 members. Our GSBA website is your one stop destination for membership information and benefits, finding a business, connecting to the LGBTQ community, planning your visit to Seattle, being part of the pulse of LGBT and business politics and investing in the education of our future leaders through scholarship.

GSBA is proud to interweave business development, community, advocacy and philanthropy into its business model. This website highlights member benefits, programs and events that honor and celebrate our businesses, community and political leaders at the GSBA Business and Humanitarian Awards Dinner and supports our future leaders through undergraduate scholarship awards granted to the best and brightest LGBT and allied students at our annual GSBA Scholarship Dinner. 2010 marks the 20th birthday of the GSBA Scholarship Fund, the first LGBT scholarship program in the United States, and we proudly passed $1 million in scholarship awards this year! Each November, GSBA holds a glitzy gala and auction, The Taste of GSBA, which raises money for the Scholarship Fund and showcases member restaurants and caterers. Our programs include business luncheons featuring business leaders and elected officials, after hour "Prime Time" networking mixers, Young Professionals with Pride for professions under 40, the quarterly "Women at the Top Cocktail Hour", OUTLeads, which focuses on business-to-business networking and referrals and the annual Candidate Forum, the only LGBT sponsored candidate forum in Washington.

You can browse our online Business Directory to locate LGBT and allied businesses. Whether you are purchasing a product or services, you are sure to find a local business or professional here. All GSBA member businesses subscribe to our Standards of Ethics and Conduct assuring integrity, a commitment to equality and exceptional service and product. And, by supporting GSBA businesses, your dollars stay local which keeps our community's economy strong and healthy.

GSBA is a community connector. You need only to look at our online community calendar to know what's happening throughout the LGBT community. You can also search through the Community Resources portion of our online Business Directory to connect with community nonprofit, recreational, social and religious organizations.

GSBA takes a stand by advocating for LGBT equality and business legislation within local, state and federal government. We build sustainable relationships and work with Washington elected officials to bring equality and prosperity to GSBA members and the LGBT and business communities.

This year marks the launch of our tourism webpage, which is the portal to make Seattle and the Pacific Northwest your travel vacation or staycation destination. We have partnered with GSBA members to bring the finest travel, accommodations, dining, entertainment and nightlife, recreational and retail experiences to you.

Whether this is your first visit or you are a regular visitor to our website, we hope that you will support the GSBA community and consider joining the GSBA for business development, community, advocacy and/or philanthropy.

Best wishes,

Mona Smith
President
