GSBA’s LGBT Travel Initiative was recently recognized with a $15,000 grant from the City of Seattle, Office of Economic Development, to promote and foster LGBT travel opportunities for our city and region. GSBA is focusing its tourism promotion on three geographic neighborhoods: Downtown, Capitol Hill and West Seattle. Joining GSBA as travel partners, Seattle's Convention and Visitors Bureau and Media Sponsor ‘mo Magazine have launched Seattle's first-ever LGBT Tourism Steering Committee which includes representatives from Alaska Airlines, Holland America, Seattle Space Needle, Seattle Men's Chorus and Seattle Women's Chorus and representatives from GSBA member hotels, restaurant, theaters, bars and other tourist destinations. Our common goal is to increase revenue to the City of Seattle by promoting our city as a top LGBT tourist destination and we are off to a fabulous start.
This “Travel Seattle” web page will be a comprehensive tool for inbound travelers to find hotel rooms, book flights, find our member restaurants, nightclubs, wineries, attractions, stores and so much more that makes our community a rich and vibrant place to visit.
Stay tuned for the launch of this great travel resource!
